Why this site exists

Magnetic tiles are one of the hardest toy categories to buy online. The set names sound similar, the contents change between editions, the piece counts are quoted without breakdowns, and the difference between a set that gets played with daily and one that gets abandoned often comes down to details nobody puts in a product description.

We built this site to answer the questions we kept seeing asked and rarely seeing answered properly: which series is which, how many pieces a child actually needs, what the age grading really means, whether different sets work together, and what to check before handing a set to a three-year-old.

What we are, and what we are not

We are an independent information site. We are not the manufacturer, we do not sell anything directly, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the brand owner or by Amazon. Magformers, STICK-O and TILEBLOX are trademarks of their respective owners and are referred to here for identification only.

Every product we write about is referred to by its own name. Nothing on this site is described as ours, because none of it is.

How we make money

Through the Amazon Associates programme. When you follow one of our links and buy something, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. That is the entire business model — no sponsored placements, no paid rankings, no advertising slots sold to brands.

How we research

• Manufacturer and retailer information for set contents, ages and specifications — always checked against the current listing, because contents change.
• Published safety standards and regulator guidance for the safety pages, rather than second-hand summaries.
• Structured reading of customer reviews, sorted by recency, looking for repeated specific complaints rather than overall ratings.
• Hands-on experience of building with tiles, which is where most of the practical advice about collapses, storage and tidy-up comes from.

Where something varies between editions, we say so rather than quoting a number that may be wrong by the time you read it. Where we are uncertain, we say that too.

What we will never do

• Recommend a set for a child below its age grading.
• Rank products by commission rate.
• Publish a piece count we have not seen stated by the seller.
• Describe a product as ours, or imply we manufacture anything.
• Quietly change a recommendation because a link pays better.

Corrections
